bird feeding place *Maja Design*

Hi all!

Today I want to share my Spring/ Easter project for Maja Design.
I used the Vintage Spring collection with only two sheets of paper:
The 3rd of March and the 6th of May.
Made this bird feeding place as an Easter gift for my best friend.

Found the bird feeding place, the birds, the feathers and the eggs at Xenos,
A Dutch home decoration store.

Close up from one of the cute little birds.
For the bottom I used the 6th of May sheet.

I used the 3rd of March paper for the roof.
The chipboard chicken wire is from Dusty Attic.

Added some flowers, feathers, some bling and some mesh to create a lovely place for the birds.

And one little cutie on top!

Enjoy your day!

two birthday cards *Shimmerz*

Hi all!

Today I want to share two birthday cards I made for Shimmerz.
These cards are actually two card shaped canvasses.
Love to work with them as they are a great firm base for all the paints.

Started both cards with randomly applying the paints.
Sprayed with some water to let the colors run into each other.
Used a heat gun to let it dry completely.
For the first card I took a kitchen sponge and some gesso to lighten the colors.

For this card I used a bottle cap from a Shimmerz spray.
Used a template and gesso to create some extra texture.
For both cards I also painted some flowers with the colors Flashee Fushia and Sunny.

Here are some details from the first card.
Glued some mini beads for an extra touch.

Didn't plan the cracks but the gesso did a great job.
Love those little surprises!

And some details from the second card:
Stamping the circles with some Blingz, Flashee Fushia.

I used the following Shimmerz products:
Blingz: Flashee Fushia
Shimmerz: Bubble Gum
Shimmerz: Sunny

Hope you enjoyed my post for today.
And don't forget: If you place an order make sure you mention my name and
you will get a FREE Shimmerz product of your color choice!
Check out the Shimmerz store here.

Enjoy your day!

Hi all!

Another Spring project today.
Made this gift box with the Vintage Spring Basics collection from Maja design.

The metal handle and feet are from a Dutch online store: Scrap-Unlimited.
They have some beautiful metal embellishments!!

The oval frame is from Dusty Attic.
The yellow flowers are from Prima. I cut of the lacy part of one flower and
used it as a bow in the right corner on top of the box.
The lilac flowers were found at a hobby event.

Added some cheesecloth and white and lilac stamens.

This Spring border comes from the bottom strip from the papers.

Papers used:
1st of March
4th of March
8th of April
10 of April
11th of April

April Mood Board Maja Design

Hi all!

Made this card for this month Mood Board at Maja design.
I was totally inspired by the lilac and yellow colors.
The Vintage Spring Basics were just perfect for this Mood Board!
Don't you just love Spring too?
It's my favorite season with the lovely temperatures, the blossoming of the trees, the longer days!

If you want to play with this months Mood Board, click here.

The window and the bricks are chipboard from Dusty Attic.
They were painted with gesso first and then randomly stamped with some ink.

The big Prima flower got a coat of gesso and the small roses and the bigger yellow flower
 were painted with Shimmerz.

Cut the negatives from the window chipbord in half to use them as bricks.

Some twigs got a coat of gesso as well.

Papers used:
1st of March
10th of April

Enjoy your day!

inspire -canvas-

Hi all!

Today I want to share a canvas called -inspire-.
Totally inspired by all the lovely blue colors from Shimmerz!

For this canvas I used the following Shimmerz products:

Vibez: Jeni B Blue
Coloringz: Mama Sings the Blues
Texturez: Teal me no lies
Texturez: Patina

For the background I again used my favorite technique:
Glueing some pieces of paper towel with gesso.
This will give your project some awesome texture!
Painted randomly with all the blue colors and
sprayed some water to let it blend in with each other.

The word 'inspire' was cut out with my cricut machine.
Cut it three times and glued them together.

The flowers and butterflies were also painted with the Shimmerz.

Painted a piece of white cardstock with the Texturez, Teal me no lies.
Then I punched out the butterflies.

Hope this canvas inspired you to work with these gorgeous Shimmerz as well!!
If you place a Shimmerz order make sure you add my name in the
"Instruction to Merchant" space and you will get a FREE sample
sized jar of Dazzlerz or Texturez or a full sized bottle of Dimensiouz of your color choice.

Enjoy your day!
